Snow Plowing

With over 25 years experience in the snow and ice maintenance industry we have come to the conclusion that there are no two storms alike.  Each storm has to be evaluated and a strategic plan has to be developed for each time that precipitation is forecasted.  Each storm can change after it starts as well so one must be prepared with an alternate plan.  Each individual client’s needs are studied an adapted into every one of our clean up plans to accommodate opening times, closing times, holidays, shift changes, morning and evening commute times, and even special delivery dates. 

We are equipped with the latest and greatest equipment for the snow clearing process.  We are currently using large farm tractors with expandable snow blades that reduce our clearing times and work in conjunction with a pick-up truck for those hard to get places on site. 

All of our employees are connected with cell and radio technology so that we can communicate and monitor each unit’s progress.  This enables us to redirect equipment and manpower where needed so that we can meet our strategic plan or changing weather systems. 

Our full time mobile mechanic ensures that our equipment is properly maintained and prepared for each storm and is ready to service them when a breakdown does occur keeping our downtime to a minimum.

Snow Removal

With numerous loaders and access to many large dump trucks we can relocate snow on site or have the snow removed to other locations.  These services are carried out at any required hour to keep our clients clear of any accumulated snow if such service is required. 

Snow Blowing

We have recently purchased a large industrial double auger snow blower for the 110 Hp tractors. This snow blowing services is a more cost effective alternative to removing the snow. It is also useful when we are hit with snow accumulations of more than 20 cm.

Salting Services

We are a contractor that believes that properly managed salt usage is an invaluable tool to control the liabilities that winter exposes both the contractor and the client to. We are not the contractor that you see out there liberally laying down copious amounts of salt to asphalt surfaces to make up for under pricing in order to obtain the contract or to reduce the plowing work required. We are environmentally conscious of our salt usage and it’s effect on the surrounding environment.

We have three salt depots located throughout our contract area so that we have quick access to our product. This is especially convenient during those early morning freezing rain storms. We stock pile upwards of 350 tonnes of salt which helps us through the times when salt shortages hit all of us in the latter part of the winter.

Having numerous salt depots enables us to use smaller trucks that carry 6 tonnes of salt to spread our salt. This gives us the advantage to salt all areas of each site and spreads the salt lower to the ground to eliminate excessive turf damage in the spring.
